Our approach to keeping our residents, staff and village safe at Castle View against Covid-19.
As the recent situation with Covid-19 has evolved, we have had the wellbeing, protection and peace of mind of our residents and staff at the forefront of our minds at all times. Whilst we are very much led by Government policy, we have taken our lead from the best clinical guidance and advice, with extensive consultation with residents and their families. Ahead of the Government’s recommendations, we restricted external visitors to the village and our village manager, Lisa, and our head of catering, Caz, became “residents” to ensure that we could continue to provide services to all residents without risk.
As such, our restaurant remains operational to residents only and, with Lisa in residence, our village is running smoothly with the usual buzz. All residents have full use of the facilities within the village, respecting social distancing, and are able to exercise on balconies and the sky terrace and can walk the beautifully decorated corridors for exercise. All deliveries are made to a collection point outside our building entrance. All our residents can move around the village in a safe bubble.
The design of the building is very efficient and we can keep an eye on all parts of the building from reception using CCTV. Whilst our daily policy in the village has always been minimal drama, we are delighted with our Castle View “song and dance” routine that is keeping everyone fit and happy. Each week, all residents can join our yoga class on their balconies as our village manager, head of sales and one of our residents runs a 30 minute class of gentle movement and singing. “We’ll meet again” and other favourites are audible in close range of Windsor Castle, keeping spirits up.
Understandably, new resident move-ins have been delayed until early May, but virtual viewings for those wanting more information on our apartments are on the website and our head of sales, Ruth, is on hand to handle all enquiries by phone or email. Please keep an eye on the website for any updates as our policy will continue to evolve, led by Government and the best of clinical policies, overseen by our team.
I wish to take the opportunity to let you know that following government guidelines and agreement with our residents, we have a safe procedure that enables us to conduct a private viewing (including a nice cup of tea, slice of cake and comfort stop)!

We know that it is essential to experience Castle View for yourself, which is why we have set up a process that involves social distancing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and additional hygiene measures (such as cleaning facilities before and after every visit) whilst making it a comfortable and enjoyable visit.|
