Just before Christmas Andrew checked in with us about what we were doing that was a little different this year in terms of helping keep our owners entertained and happy despite all the current restrictions and our brand new choir caught his eye. So after an initial chat before our performance he asked for us to send in a recording and he very kindly caught up with us to see how we got on!

Due to COVID restrictions we had approximately 2 weeks to put together an ensemble and in true gutsy style our owners did a magnificent performance of three songs and really set Secret Santa off with a bang!
15 of our owners, some who have never sung before and others told that they couldn't sing as children, got together and did a fantastic debut performance of three Christmas Songs. To see how great they were please visit our video section. The last option on the drop down menu for News and Events.

As plans to see family and friends fell in tatters, we decided to throw a social distancing Christmas party to cheer everyone up. So we adequate spacing we dined, we listened to live entertainment and the CEO Robin Hughes gave out some very funny and very personal awards to our owners. Here he is doing just that ....
And we feel very honoured that she shares this with us. Lovely that the Queen still remembers those that have served her personally. We thought we would share it with you. Not every day you get to see a personalised card from the Queen!

Almost hard to believe that we have now been open for 2 years! And to celebrate Robin Hughes our CEO hosted a fantastic party for our owners and personally served them cottage pie and his signature pudding of ice-cream and baileys!

Robin Hughes owner and CEO of Castle View took the opportunity to serve our owners dinner on the house of good old cottage pie. Always a winner. With wine also on the house the evening flowed swimmingly. Dinner followed by live entertainment and dancing into the night!

One of our residents, Sally is really enjoying living at Castle View and every morning she is greeted by our resident dog, Benjy where she enjoys a little cuddle with him before she heads off on a stroll into town.
In our safe bubble, we stood together, united in our thoughts for those who have fallen for us. Together we remembered, together we shared and together we were grateful.
Then fellow resident retired Father Mike Morrisey took an intimate service with wise words for us all.
We then enjoyed live entertainment and a beautfiul Sunday Lunch. Together.
Commnuity is everything at Castle View.
Residents raised £150 for Breast cancer by wearing pink for the day and drinking pink cocktails created by our lovely barman, Colin. We were delighted to raise such a grand amount for this very worthy cause and having fun whilst doing it!
